On Sunday, 18th February 2024, the AYUSH Federation of India (AFI) Udupi Taluk and Udupi District, in association with Mangalore Institute of Oncology (M.I.O), organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme. The event began with an invocation, followed by a floral welcome to the dignitaries and the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Dr N T Anchan, District President, AFI Udupi District, delivered the presidential address. The CME sessions were given by esteemed professionals from the field of oncology: “How do we work up cancer cases” by Dr Rohan Chandra Gatty, Senior Surgical Oncologist, M.I.O, Mangalore, “Evaluation of a Patient with Cancer & recent advances” by Dr Hemanth Kumar, Senior Medical Oncologist, M.I.O, Mangalore, and “Radiation in Oncology” by Dr Venkataraman Kini, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, M.I.O, Mangalore. Dr Sandip Sanil, Secretary, AFI Udupi Taluk, expressed gratitude towards all the attendees and participants in his vote of thanks. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr Satish Rao, Secretary, AFI, Udupi District, who served as the Master of Ceremonies. This event was a significant step towards enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the field of oncology, providing an excellent platform for learning, discussion, and exchange of ideas.
