Dr. Hemanth Kumar, Medical Oncologist at MIO Hospital, Mangalore presented a talk on awareness about cancer on World Cancer day at Sumasadana, Mallikatte, Mangalore on February 4th 2022. The program was organised by JCI India, JCI Mangalore Disha in association with Mangalore Institute of Oncology. The program had an important objective of initiating a Hair Donation Drive for the benefit of poor patients affected with cancer. Shri. M.A Nataraja, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic Mangalore city, was the chief guest of the program and appreciated the endeavours of Mangalore Institute of Oncology and JCI Mangalore Disha in spreading awareness about cancer and hair donation for the poor in society. The program was attended by around 150 people.
