Mangalore Institute of Oncology (MIO) celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with joy and enthusiasm across all its centers – Pumpwell, Karangalpady, Udupi, and Thirthahalli. The celebrations brought together doctors, staff spreading cheer and cultural pride.
At M.I.O Pumpwell, the highlight of the day was a beautifully arranged pookalam (floral decoration) created by the staff, symbolizing prosperity and harmony. A traditional Onam Sadya was also organized, where everyone came together to share the festive meal, adding warmth and togetherness to the occasion.
At M.I.O Karangalpady, the celebrations carried the same spirit with festive decorations and a delightful Onam Sadya. The gathering fostered a sense of unity, allowing the staff to bond over tradition and joy.
At M.I.O Thirthahalli, the staff marked the day with colorful decorations and cultural expressions of Onam. The cheerful ambience reflected the festival’s message of harmony and happiness.
At the M.I.O Day Care Centre, Udupi, the team joined in the spirit of the season with simple yet heartfelt celebrations, spreading festive cheer and positivity.
Across all four centers, the Onam celebrations highlighted the values of unity, gratitude, and joy. For the MIO family, it was a reminder that while healthcare remains at the heart of their mission, nurturing happiness and togetherness is equally essential in the journey of healing.
