The Cancer Education and Awareness Cell (CEAC) of MIO in collaboration with Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike Katipalla conducted a Cancer awareness programme at Jasmin hall Katipalla on Sunday 10th February 2019.
Dr. Sanath Hegde and Director MIO addressed the gathering and spoke about the present scenario of cancer with emphasis on a healthy lifestyle. Around a hundred people participated in this programme. Dr. Bharath Shetty (MLA Mangalore North Constituency) inaugurated the programme. Corporator and members of Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike were presented. Mr. Rajesh Shetty spoke on head and neck Cancer, Ms. Mintu Mathew and Mrs. Poornima spoke about breast and cervix cancer.
