The M.I.O Specialty Cancer Hospital has received a “Letter of Commendation” from the government for its excellent service under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

On the occasion of Republic Day, January 26th 2024 the Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat – Prime Minister’s Public Health Scheme, and the Chief Minister’s Health Karnataka Scheme, awarded the “Letter of Commendation” to M.I.O Speciality Cancer Hospital, Pumpwell, for being the best hospital providing excellent services among the hospitals under the said scheme. The Health Secretary of the Karnataka Government, Honorable Mr. Dinesh Gundu Rao, honored the recipients by presenting the commendation letter. They hoped that the hospital will continue to provide excellent services to patients affected with cancer in the future. The Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Lal Madathil, accepted the commendation letter and the honor on behalf of M.I.O.

Dr. Suresh Rao, Director, M.I.O  expressed his joy on receiving this achievement. He stated that it is the primary objective of M.I.O to provide the best treatment to patients with cancer.

M.I.O has been providing quality treatment to more than 40,000 patients with cancer over the past decade, with experienced cancer specialists. Notably, about 70% of the patients receiving treatment at M.I.O are under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and they receive state-of-the-art, compassionate treatment without any delay. The recognition of our services by the Karnataka Government’s Health Department brings us great joy. We are grateful to all the related departments as this gives us the strength to provide better services and increases our responsibility to these patients.
