Mangalore Institute of Oncology (MIO), Pumpwell, had the honour of welcoming Mr. Arvind Bolar, the acclaimed Tulu film actor affectionately known as Tulu Nada Manikya, on his recent visit to our facility. Mr. Bolar, widely loved for his contributions to the Tulu film industry, brought warmth, encouragement, and smiles during his interaction with our patients and staff.
During his visit, Mr. Bolar toured the entire hospital, gaining insight into the comprehensive cancer care provided at MIO. He interacted with patients undergoing treatment and their families, offering them words of comfort and motivation. In a touching gesture, he distributed fruits to the patients, spreading joy and positivity.
Mr. Bolar also had meaningful conversations with the hospital staff, appreciating their dedication and tireless efforts in the fight against cancer. He expressed his heartfelt wishes for the continued success of the institution and its mission to provide world-class oncology care to the region.
The visit was coordinated and hosted by Dr. Venkatraman Kini, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, who escorted Mr. Bolar around the facility. Mr. Bolar was warmly felicitated by Dr. Suresh Rao, Director – Clinical and Administration. Dr. Hemanth Kumar, Consultant Medical Oncologist, was also present during the occasion.
