A Cancer Awareness Programme was held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Canara Springs Workshop, Maroli, Mangalore, organized by Mangalore Institute of Oncology (MIO).
Dr. Venkataramana Kini, Consultant Radiation Oncologist at MIO, addressed the gathering and shared valuable information on cancer prevention, early warning signs, and the importance of timely screening. He also spoke about the harmful effects of tobacco and the role of healthy lifestyle choices in reducing cancer risk.
The session was attended by 40 participants, who showed keen interest and interacted actively during the discussion.
MIO remains committed to spreading cancer awareness and promoting early detection through such community-focused initiatives.
