Globally, October month is commemorated to create awareness on Breast cancer among the common public. The CEAC unit a Mangalore Institute of Oncology in association with Sri Sathyanarayana Mandira(R) Shivashakthi Mitramandali Samithi & Nevalu charitable trust Bagambilla, Mangaluru organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme at Bagambilla on 24th October 2021. Dr. Venkataramana Kini, Radiation Oncologist delivered a talk on causes, prevention, and signs of breast cancer. Dr. Kini also emphasised that the awareness regarding breast cancer is important for early detection, often through screening, that can catch the disease when it is most treatable. The program was attended by nearly 80 participants and was highly appreciated by all.
